Ohtani parallels
The same card, printed in different colours, textures and print runs. In a one-player market the ladder is where most of the price spread lives — and there is more than one ladder here, plus two families that have none at all.
There is no single ladder
This player's cards run from Japanese issues printed years before his MLB debut to current flagship, and the parallel structure changes completely between them. Colours and runs vary by year and product, and the number stamped on the card is always the authority over any table. What follows is the shape of each family as our own catalog records it.

Two consequences worth stating plainly. A card without a serial number is not automatically below one with a serial — a printed moment carries no serial and can still be the scarcest thing in the row. And a colour name is a name, not a number: the same word carries different print runs in different products, in different years, and on the base card and the autograph of the same set.
What scarcity is conventionally worth
These are the multiples our own valuation falls back on when a numbered parallel has no sales of its own. They are documented assumptions, not market data — any valuation leaning on one is forced to display as low confidence.

Where parallels get confusing
A page here exists only where a family behaves differently enough to need one — the chrome refractor ladder, the colour-name collisions, one-of-ones and the separate product lines. The families with no ladder are the two rows above; the honest statement about them is a paragraph, not a page.
